FAQs
To provide comprehensive and age-appropriate musical and developmental education to underserved and low-income children in South Florida.
As public school budgets shrink and music education gets reduced or eliminated, Friends of South Florida Music works to fill this critical gap in basic education for our children. With a focus on schools with limited resources, we fund provision of basic music education classes for elementary school aged children. We encourage you to Google what a child's brain looks like when they are playing the piano. What a tremendous gift to give a child.
Donations fund our in-school music education programs and to provide scholarships for deserving children attending our music education program offered outside of school. Your donation of $144 will provide a child with 20 weeks of our Music FUNdamentals instruction including musical instruments and materials.
Music FUNdamentals is available to any underserved school population in South Florida providing early childhood education. School Principals or Preschool Directors are encouraged to email Dr. Joy Galliford at joy@friendsofsfm.org for further information.
Music FUNdamentals is funded by private donations and grants. We encourage you to click on the donate button below and offer a gift today. Donate
