While we are enjoying the summer months, Friends of South Florida Music (FSFM) is aware that families are facing financial insecurity and other challenges in providing their children with necessary supplies for the 2025-26 school year. For this reason, we are launching our Fifth Annual – Send Them Back with a Full Backpack Campaign.
Last year, we provided 220 backpacks to children enrolled in 4 of our partner schools. This year, we hope to reach the same goal. Because the uniformity of supplies is important as we provide backpacks for an entire classroom, FSFM will be purchasing all of the school supplies. We will then be packing each backpack with the basic necessary supplies and delivering them to each of the schools at the end of July.
Do you want to be part of this? Would you consider being a sponsor? A sponsorship of $50 will provide one backpack for a Music FUNdamentals musician. You can donate here! Would you like to help deliver the backpacks? Email info@friendsofsfm.org to join our FSFM packing or delivery team. Packing date will be July 17th from 5:00-8:00 pm! Thank you in advance for your continued investment in our children and their families. Together, we are building a stronger community!
